In January 2017, Justin was confirmed by the congregation to succeed Mike Chinn as Senior Pastor of Keyport Bible Church. Prior to this, he served as an Associate Pastor beginning in September 2009. Justin came to know the Lord as a college freshman, and from that time devoted himself to studying God’s Word. In 2004, Justin moved to Michigan where he attended and subsequently graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He then served with Youth for Christ in Central Oregon for three years before moving to Keyport. Justin married Kristin (by all accounts his moral and intellectual superior!) in 2003, and the Lord has blessed them with three children.
Joel has served on Keyport Bible Church’s pastoral staff since the fall of 2013. He works primarily with youth, but also with children and young adults. His wife Jessica labors with him in ministry and together they care for their three children, Isaiah, Margaret, and Allison. Joel grew up in Bremerton but has also lived in Phoenix, Houston, San Diego, and Fresno. He graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Religious Studies and has a Masters of Divinity in Theological Studies from Rawlings School of Divinity. His favorite book of the Bible is Isaiah and his favorite figure from church history is Jonathan Edwards.
By God’s grace Mike served as the senior pastor of KBC for over 15 years. He is now serving part-time as a support pastor focusing on personal shepherding of our KBC family and our KBC missionaries.
Heather has served as the office secretary since 2012, though her ties to this body go back to her days in the youth group. A singer and an avid reader, she also serves as the church’s librarian, and will periodically bless the church body with an offertory special.
Heidi, with her husband Rob, have been part of KBC for over 15 years. They are both actively involved in leading Bible studies and mentoring younger couples. They enjoy three grown children and five grandchildren.
Linda has served as the church’s janitor for over 10 years, and is also actively involved in various church ministries, including AWANA Cubbies and foreign short-term mission trips. Linda is married to Tom, and is blessed with three grown children.
