Mike Chinn

Mike Chinn has been a Pastor at Keyport Bible Church in Keyport Washington, since 2001.  He is assisted in his ministry by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn.  They have three grown children: Marcus, Diana and Andrew.  Mike became a follower of Jesus Christ in 1979 at the age of 27.  In 1985, Mike took his first short-term mission trip to the Philippines with Christ for Greater Manila under the direction of Doug Nichols.  This trip would have a profound influence on the rest of Mike’s life.    The Lord gave Mike the opportunity to enter into full-time ministry in 1989.  Leaving a law career, Mike began to serve as a youth intern for Independent Bible Church in Port Angeles, Washington.    By God’s grace he was able to receive academic training while He was involved in church ministry.  He continued to minister at IBC as an associate pastor for another 5 years, serving in the areas of evangelism, Christian education and Shepherd’s care.  In 1996, Mike and his family answered the Lord’s call to be missionaries in Poland.  After 6 years of ministering in Northwest Poland, Mike returned to the States because of health problems.  He then assumed the senior pastor role at Keyport.
